Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez is an Cuban as well as an American TV arbitrator ever since Caso Cerrado. Ana was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She moved to Miami with her family around age 2 after moving from Havana. Ana Maria Polo, a native of Habana Cuba is host of the well-known show on Telemundo called "Casowhich was the first Spanish show to be awarded an Emmy within the category of Daytime Entertainment. The program was ranked in 2015 as the top television show in Spanish for the 4 pm time slot for all categories. Polo was born on April 11th of 1959, Havana Cuba and graduated from Florida International University in Political Sciences. After earning her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for nearly 20 years. Thereafter, she obtained her PhD in Law at the University of Miami. Polo first appeared on television in 2001 with Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She took part in show on the court that utilized her knowledge. Literature Works and Accolades 1958 she published the story Los Hijos Muertos (The dead children) in which she won the Critic's Prize and Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute fled Spain in the United States 1960. Polo is a breast-cancer survivor and frequently gives speeches to help raise money. She has always been an activist for LGBT concerns. She received her law degree in 1987 at the University of Miami School of Law.
